The house is located in the town of Frantato which is almost in the center of IKARIA and is one of the prettiest villages that boasts a stunning mountain and ocean view. The home has a backyard, a storage unit behind the home, and plenty of homes nearby but also in a peaceful location that does not get much traffic.

The two bedrooms are big with large built in closets, a hallway connecting the two bedrooms with a full bathroom , a nice size kitchen and spacious dining area. A five minute walk from the town square where you will find a bakery that makes homemade bread daily, pastry shop, small supermarket, a family owned souvlaki restaurant with outdoor seating right by the church, and a larger restaurant with indoor outdoor seating.

The town of Frantato attracts visitors in the summer months that come for the gorgeous views, authentic Ikarian food, and one of the many summer festivals that takes place in the town center the month of August, where visitors will have the pleasure of eating food prepared by the locals, while listening to traditional Ikarian live music and lots of dancing.
During the summer months, you can experience the excitement of many traditional festivals hosted by different towns on Ikaria.

The neighboring town is a 10 minute walk with more family owned restaurants and a church. Frantato is a short 15-20 minute drive from the beach. with the second largest town of Evdilos also conveniently located about 20 minutes by car. In Evdilos you will find physicians, a medical clinic, many restaurants and shops, hair and nail salons, a pharmacy, bank, and several supermarkets. Evdilos is a port town with ferry boats that go to various neighboring islands. The famous island of Patmos, where Saint John the apostle wrote the book of revelation and where people from around the world visit is only a one hour ferry boat ride. Another neighboring island is the island of Samos which is a fairy boat ride of a little over an hour. The nearest island is the island of Fourni which is about 25 to 30 minutes on the ferry boat. The well known island of Mykonos is only a two hour ferry ride from Ikaria.

The average ferry duration from Athens to Ikaria is 6 hours. Ikaria is only 50 minutes by plane from Athens international airport.
