Several busses a day are going from the centre of the village into the town of Chania, which is 18km west. The village offers all amenities such as a bank, schools, doctors, dentist, pharmacies, restaurants and a lot of coffee shops which function all year round as well as a KEP (Enlish-speaking Community Centre).
