Riglia A village in the prefecture of Messinia. It belongs to the municipality of West Mani and is the seat of the municipal district of Riglia. The municipal district of Riglia consists of three settlements, Kato Riglia, Ano Riglia and Elaichorio (Izina). The area was inhabited around 1800. According to the 2001 census, the municipality has 189 inhabitants. The three settlements are built between two torrents that start from the mountains above the village of Milea and end at the beach of Pantazi. Unique alleys , pre-revolutionary buildings , fountains and remarkable churches welcome the visitor. In Riglia we find the church of Agios Georgios with a remarkable bell tower, Agia Paraskevi in a cave with a small bell tower, the Holy Apostles and the Savior, while some pre-revolutionary buildings and cool fountains are preserved.
