Land Plot for Sale

Between two of the most traditional villages of West Mani, Platsa and Nomitsi, a very large plot of land of almost 23,000 square meters is for sale.

It is located at "Prosiliaka - Lagadia Lorainis", outside the settlement plan and outside the zones, but due to its huge size, part of it belongs to the local community of Platsa and the rest to the local community of Nomitsi, municipal unit of Lefktro, municipality of West Mani.

A characteristic feature of the area where the land is located is the football pitch (Platsa Stadium) and the open theatre (West Mani Open Theatre) with 1560 seats.

The view offered by the plot is truly magnificent since it is amphitheatrical and "looks" all over the beach of Trachila.

Again due to its size, the building factor is greatly increased, making the plot ideal for a hotel and large-scale investment, since under certain conditions it can build up to 790 square meters of construction.

The distance from Kardamyli is less than 20 kilometers, while from Kalamata airport the distance is covered in about an hour.

The land has been registered by the owner in the National Land Registry and has all the required documents.

Platsa is a settlement of the Regional Unit of Messinia, with a population of 162 inhabitants, according to the 2011 Census.

It is built at an altitude of 362 meters, overlooking the sea. Its name means plateau and it was the mountainous part of the ancient city of Pefnos.

It was the centre of Exo Mani (Exo Mani, or Messinian Mani, or West Mani) and the largest settlement, with 1,425 inhabitants. It was the seat of a municipality and a diocese. Today (2023), the population has decreased and the Public Services, have been closed.

On Carnival Monday, there is also a carnival event at the Kabinari threshing floor, where the church of Agios Nikolaos, of the 10th century, is located.
