Like neighboring Kalamos, it communicates with the coast of Etoloakarnania by boats, from and to the opposite village of Mytika. In recent years, the island has been connected by ferry to the city of Lefkada. There is no vehicle transport on the existing ferry, so travel is mostly done on foot. The island has facilities such as a mini market, bars, restaurants and a small gift shop. All facilities are open during the summer, however most close during the island's winter months. The island has two harbors for mooring boats, one is at the front of the island, the other is at the back.
