This villa was the summer residence of the Lords of Rethymno and during the Ottoman period it was the residence of an Ottoman Aga. The collection of the Military Museum includes military uniforms, weapons from various periods, medals, historical relics from 1821, an exhibition on the Macedonian Struggle, a library, conference rooms, while outside the museum there are historical aircraft and vehicles, as well as guns and tanks of the H.S. from the early 20th century. Another attraction of the area is the beautiful and green Gorge of the Mills with stone watermills. The Mili Gorge, which can be walked by children from 7 years old, is a fairy tale... with many variations. It is a gorge fed almost all year round with water from the nearby Vrysinas mountain and once supported a large number of watermills for grinding grain. Until the 1970s there was a settlement of the same name in the gorge. The very rich flora and the occasional small waterfalls are impressive features of the route.
