The architect observed how a fishing boat is hauled out of the water onto the axles of a trailer. The design consists of two straight lines symbolising the two axles that cradle the boat. Between them is a gap in which, instead of a vessel, the architect has created a long swimming pool representing the sea from which the boat emerges. The whole project is constructed of three basic materials: wood, stone and rusty steel, a durable steel treated to form a patina with the orange-brown colour and texture of rust. The rocks found on site during the excavation work were used to make a unique mixture of finely crushed stone and cement, which will be used to cover the whole floor, aesthetically connecting the indoor and outdoor spaces and the pool area. The pool is divided into a children’s and an adult pool. Next to the children’s pool is an elegant firepit, its flames creating a striking contrast between the elements of fire and water. There the family can gather to light the fire and enjoy a peaceful evening under the stars. The architect has managed to make an idea reality. A reality that can become a perfect idea for the owner.
