'Villa Papalexi' is located on the eastern side of the town of Krestena (Xenophontos 173) of the Municipality of Krestena-Andritsaina in the Olympia District of the Prefecture of Ilia. It is the work of the famous architect Ernestos Ziller and was built in 1890-1891 by Nikolaos Papalexis, MP of Ilia, (descendant of Morayannis Papalexis) and vice president of the Parliament under Charilaos Trikoupis. It has been designated by the Ministry of Culture as a Work of Art and a Historic Preserved Monument. In 1896, the French politician Clemenceau, Prime Minister of France, was hosted in this villa during his tour of the region. It is 11 km away from Ancient Olympia, 8 km from the beach and the Caiaphas Baths, 107 km from Patras, and 277 km from Athens.
