Palaio Faliro is a seafront neighborhood, 6 km southwest of the city center. Located on Flisvos Marina, it's a popular mooring spot for boats and yachts. There are numerous drinking and dining options here, from upscale bars to family-run seafood taverns. Also, Palaio Faliro is very close to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, a landmark that hosts the National Library of Greece and the National Opera House. In addition there is the Stavros Niarchos Park, one of the largest green spots in Athens. The area is served by the tram and many buses. This neighborhood is directly connected to the Athens International Airport via the X96 express bus.
