Property located in the Pindus mountains of Epirus. The stone cottage is approximately 100 years old and constructed with walls 70cm thick and has a tin roof, a bedroom, a living room, a simple kitchen, and a bathroom. The cottage has been renovated or upgraded to a level that allows it to be lived in, but it still requires work to make it habitable for winter. The 2400m2 garden contains several trees including a large Cherry tree and a large Chestnut tree, as well as several Walnut trees and other fruit trees. The property is bordered by creek on one side and a hill on another, and the neighbouring homes though not far, are distant enough that one may have privacy and solitude if one wishes. In the centre of the village which is short stroll from the cottage there are two Tavernas and a Coffeeshop. The area is a paradise for hikers and lovers of nature, with very little motor traffic and forests that begin on the boundary of the property and extend halfway up the surrounding mountain peaks, which are visible from the windows and from the balcony. The property is located on a hillside within the Achelous River Valley, not far from the Seltsou monastery. The area is blessed with wonderful weather during the spring and summer period and isn’t as hot or muggy as places closer to the sea. The electrical switches, plugs and fuses are new, and the tap water tastes delicious.
